Unchartist sources tea from producers in Japan and supplies it wholesale to cafés, restaurants and independent brands. We are based in New York and work with customers across the United States.
Unchartist LLC is a tea sourcing and wholesale company based in New York. We buy matcha and hojicha from producers in Japan's main tea regions and supply it to businesses in the United States.
The work is practical. We help a café choose a matcha that holds up in milk, arrange tastings before anyone commits, and keep supply consistent once a tea is on the menu.
We work in both Japanese and English, so we deal with producers directly and handle everything on the U.S. side for our customers.
We focus on two powdered teas that work well in cafés. The right grade depends on how you serve it and how much you use, so we recommend starting with samples.

Green tea roasted over high heat, then ground. Low in bitterness, with a toasty, caramel like flavor and less caffeine than matcha.
